A graduate of Houston Baptist University’s nursing program in 1993, with a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing, Gloria Kuhn opened Confident Care Home Health Services in May 2005. She worked and gained experience for over 13 years in nursing, ranging from emergency room duties at Ben Taub Hospital to MD Anderson’s Leukemia Dept. She then moved to the Renal Transplant Dept. at Methodist Hospital to the Vencor Hospital where she worked with ventilator patients and later Texas Children’s Hospital.
During her time at Texas Children’s, Gloria was introduced to the Home Health industry. Gloria continued to work in both hospitals and in home health. From her experience in home health she learned that home health gave patients the care they needed while still being able to stay home with the support of their family. Gloria soon realized and felt that working in home health she would be able to give better care to patients before they entered the hospitals.
In 1998 Gloria Kuhn stepped out of the hospitals and became a full time home health nurse. Gloria started as a field nurse taking care of patients for different home health companies, then she was promoted to Supervising Home Health Nurse and ultimately the Director Of Nursing for a home health agency. Working in home health for years Gloria decided to open an agency of her own where she alone did the roles of both the Administrator and Director of Nursing. Today, Confident Care Home Health Services offers quality home health services with over 25 years of collective experience serving our seniors and the community at large.
